I decided to talk about this topic because God has been speaking to me about it for many weeks. So I must be obedient. Let me tell you first the definition of Covet: which is envy, or wish, long, or crave for especially the property of another person. (Free Online Dictionary). Now my definition of covet is desiring something that someone has. The Bible clearly states that we should not covet in Exodus 20:17. "You shall not covet your neighbors house, you shall not covet your neighbors wife, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbors." There is nothing wrong with desiring things in your life. God says, he gives us the desires of our heart however, it must be pure desires. If we fall into the trap of having evil desires that surely will lead to jealousy, and greediness. If you want something that someone has, pray unto the Lord and ask him what he would desire you to have. You don't need to be envying someone because they are blessed. Get over it. Thank God that they are. God will bless you too. Bye :)
Its important for us to remind ourselves (the people of God) not to lead our own destruction. When one becomes to strong (or prideful) for his own good, we think we can do anything and get away with it. Just like Uzziah, in II Chronicles 26:16 "But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God...". After Uzziah did this, he went on further to burn incense on the altar of incense. Uzziah had trespassed again by doing something he wasn't supposed to. II Chronicles 26:18 clearly states that the sons of Aaron were seperated to do this work only and not Uzziah.. People of God - don't do something that God hasn't called you to do. Don't go somewhere, where God hasn't called you to go. It's dangerous. You don't want to receive leprosy, I mean maybe in a spiritual sense, but like Uzziah he received it in a literal sense. In "II Chronicles 26:21 it says "And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a seperate house..." Let us not seperate ourselves from God because of our trespasses. God forgive us. Shalom.
Only one Master, Jesus Christ and no other. There are so many people in the body of Christ seeking positions, and titles, only to crave mans praise and not Yeshua's. To seek the flattery of men because of a title is not pleasing unto the Lord. The Lord warns us not to covet those things. In Matthew 23:6-12 "And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synogogues, and greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth; for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant . And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted." There is nothing wrong with one having a title, however when it becomes an idol in your life and you forget who the true Master is in your life, then it can become dangerous. Let us never forget who we have to give glory to. Glory to Jesus. Shalom.
Many go, but who is sent? My heart yearns for my Lord, and my desire is for Him. So often we fail to realize that our state of being is more important than our state of doing. We reason that God is pleased with our good deeds despite the motive or source of these actions. If the Lord builds the house surely it will stand-but the rest? It will burn.. Oh God build your holy and spiritual house, and start within me- remake me, empty me, and fill me wholly with yourself.
Daniel's God was like no other God. He was the God that delivered him from the den of lions. He was the God that worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth. Daniel was sent to the den of lions for no good reason. He was sent because he made petition before his God. (Basically he prayed) He prayed three times a day and the people who conspired against him thought he should be put away (in the den of lions) because of this. Daniel then was put into the den. However the God of Daniel, "hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions mouth, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me and also before thee, O King..." Daniel 6:22 When we are in a situation where people are trying to find fault or try to accuse us of something we did not do, God will always deliver us from the power of lions. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" KJV Holy Bible Shalom
Matthew Chapter 15:14 "Let them alone; they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." How can a minister of the gospel lead someone to Christ when they themselves don't have it together..? or not living a Holy Life. Common people, get with the program... It's important for the remnant to know that the one true leader who can lead us unto all truth is Jesus Christ. You have so many counterfeits out there, it's not funny.. oh my goodness... Don't get me started... We'll anyways, Jesus said in the last days their will be great deception. We must continue to stay focused on Christ, reading his word, live a life of prayer, and love those around us in spite of... In the end times, people are walking blindly and don't know where they are going. We must be discerning in everything that we do.. That's why we have the Holy Spirit. To know the difference between good and evil, truth and counterfeit, this way or that way... I have come to the conclusion that the remnant need to open their eyes and perceive..and ears to hear so they can understand.. Lets not fall into the ditch and be stuck there... It's not a pretty place to be... Shalom..
A miracle is defined as a divine intervention changing circumstances. We should be having miracles everyday. God changes things all the time for those who pray and look unto Him for help. He is a merciful God who gives peace to those whose mind is stayed upon Him, and provides for those who ask, seek, and knock. He gives grace and comfort, and pours out His love to whosoever comes to Him. Peace, peace, His wonderful peace He offers us today....
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth....Genesis 1:1 -- I Peter 4:11 "The glory and the might are his (Gods) forever and ever." There the Greek words are aionas ton aionan or ages of the ages" (2001 Translation) He is the God of today and forever. He is now and the future. We should never forget where we came from. With 2012 coming, some people are freaking out and saying "Is the world coming to an end?" Would it matter? Does it matter? Am I getting to deep for ya'll...It all comes down to the God of Ages. God knows when the time will end. But for now, don't panic for God of the Universe is in control of all things. The God of Ages knows when we will age in this time and the time to come. Shalom.
Matthew 25:31-33 "When the Son man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left." In these end times, God is separating the sheep from the goats. Goats are symbolic of Satan. Leviticus 16: 21-22. Jesus knows who are truly his. Now for those who are unsaved, and don't want to be a goat, then look unto the Good Shepherd Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will never leave you astray. But Satan will. Will you be a sheep or a goat? Shalom Baaaa.....
No matter the situation, we must never give up on praying for people. We must continue to fight the good fight of faith. JESUS continually prayed unto the most high God, his Father, for direction, provision, for all mankind. For things to move forward in God's Kingdom we must be able to deny ourselves and think of others, just like him. I write this to let all those who have problems with Leadership, Pray for them. Pray for President Barack Obama. Pray, Pray, Pray... Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes at one point in time. But Pray, Pray, Pray. Pray for this Nation... It takes humilty .. II Chronicles 7:14 May the Lord Bless You and keep you. Shalom....
The Round table is described in the legend of King Arthur and his knights. The significance of the round table was that no person , not even King Arthur would be able to sit at the head of the table. The round table enforced the concept of equality. With that in mind, this is an example of what Jesus wants in his body today. We must treat people with equality. We are not to give one preference more than the other because of race, class, or education, etc... The most important thing that Jesus cares about is people becoming unified in him. Jesus treated his 12 disciples with care and love but never favored more than the other. We are equal in Christ because he lives in us. God's people are heirs to the Kingdom of God. We all have every right to possess that. God does not play favorites. He loves us all. Shalom.
Is Jesus messing with your water? At the wedding at Canna of Galilee in the book of John2:11, Jesus "manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him." A transformation took place, the ordinary became the supernatural. Jesus is doing a new thing, He is taking us on the journey of a lifetime as we discover the best wine He has for our lives. The woman at the well got her water messed with too. When Jesus offered her living water and revealed His glory by revealing the secrets of this woman's life, John 4:28 says "the woman then left her water pot, went her way into the city" and told them about Jesus. Drop the natural, drop the ordinary, drop the old and take the fresh, living water, of a living God... I think there's something in the water.
There was a time when the wicked imaginations and deeds of man were so evil, God wiped all of mankind off of the face of the earth except Noah and his family. Jesus said when He came back it would be like the days of noah. Water is symbolic, and this story also shows how God wants to wash away the sins and filth that is in our lives as well. God hates sin, but He LOVES the sinner, and by the washing of the blood, the cleansing water of the word, and the life giving Spirit of God sin is eradicated from our lives, if we want to be free. We have to be honest with God and ourselves. God's cure is all powerful, but we have to take our medicine, not just look at it. How? Believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths the salvation and deliverance that is found in Jesus Christ-then and only then will the flood of God's mercy and grace overtake us, and our own personal (earth) will be cleansed of all unrighteousness...
In Isaiah 54:2 "Make the tent you live in larger; lengthen its ropes and strengthen the pegs!" Well you can see a similiarity of how close this resembles the cruxificion of our Lord Jesus. He was crucified like a tent. He was stretched in every area and pegs put on his feet and hands. He died for us so that we can dwell in his presence more than ever. The tent is where we can spend time with him alone, seeking his will in our lives. Just like Solomon in II Chronicles 1:2-3 "King Solomon gave an order to all the officers in charge of units of a thousand men..."commanding them to go with him...."they went there because that was where the Tent of the Lord's presence was located, which Moses, the Lord's servant had made in the wilderness." vs 6 "In front of the Tent the king worshipped the Lord..." and vs 7 "That night God appeared to Solomon and asked," What would you like me to give you?" Jesus hovers over us and protects from all just like a tent would when there is a storm. Let us dwell in the Tent for he wants to meet with us and stretch us like him.. Shalom.
This is never what God intended, this is what man has chosen and has become through sin and death. Instead of fasting and praying when the battle is on, do we stuff ourselves with pizza and subs while watching hours of television?1Cor5:6 "Know you not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?" God wants us to know His will and hear from Him. During the passover the Isrealites did not have time to let their bread rise, for they were leaving out of Egypt(world) in a hurry. Too many Christians have weakened themselves by relaxing with the world, while death and destruction(plagues) strike all around. God wants to lead us in a land of milk and honey but it will take ears that hear from God and stomachs and souls that deny their own selfish comforts, in order to rise up in the power and might of the Holy Spirit, for battle and victory. But will you pay the price? No one but you can deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow after this Blessed Jesus. Shalom
This condition is a serious problem. It can only be treated by Holy Ghost vitamins. But seriously, this word is for all the pastors/laymen/leaders out there who seek truth. Reading all of 3 John, we have two men who are poles apart. Gaius, (the man who helped God's work) who walks in truth and Diotrephes, (the man who hindered God's work) who in vs 9 "loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not". In vs 9, simply says that their might have been a power struggle between these two men. Diotrephes did not receive John, Gaius, and the others. In vs 10 it says "I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbidden them that would, and casteth them out of the church. Maybe he felt threatened. Those pastors/leaders usually are more concerned about "Lording over their flock" Mark 10:42-44. They may be in sheeps clothing but are like ravening wolves whose heart is not to shepard, counsel, or refute doctrinal errors but to gain ambitious preeiminence in the church. This syndrome can cause a conditon of disunity within the body. You have different individuals with different ideas but without any unity committment the advancement of the gospel may be hindered by leaders who don't set that example for the sheep. One scripture we must stand upon is "My sheep hear my voice." Let us be careful on how we minister to people. Not using intimidation, control, for the gain of power but minister in love and truth for the gain of Christ prefering one another over our own selves and ministries. Shalom.
Lets face it, we live in a world that wants to drag us down into animosity and bitterness. People abuse, slander, control, and even try to hate and destroy us daily, even if to our face they act like our friends. People can change, and I fear for any soul that turns from God and to SELF. Oh how ugly, may God forever give us the grace to forget about ourselves and focus on Him. As the Holy Spirit sheds abroad the love of God into our hearts we can give to others what we have received from God. May we never stop receiving, giving, and ESPECIALLY forgiving least we lose this peace that keeps us cool and become stone cold instead....
